Shaped by a long-standing interest in how planning and policy decisions influence everyday life for residents and communities, founder Gretchen Armijo works at the intersection of planning, public health, and community development. She partners with municipalities, developers, foundations, and regional collaboratives to strengthen decision-making around housing, transportation, land use, and long-term community wellbeing.
With more than two decades of experience across public, nonprofit, and consulting sectors, Gretchen is known for helping multidisciplinary teams move from research and assessment toward clear direction and feasible implementation.

Equity Policy Solutions is grounded in the belief that strong communities grow with balance, connection, and intentional design. In nature, the ‘golden ratio’ is a mathematical proportion as seen in sunflowers, pinecones and seashells. It is thought to symbolize order, universal harmony and the interconnectedness of all life. Just as the golden ratio reflects harmony and resilience in the natural world, thoughtful planning can create environments where access to good health and opportunity come into balance and are accessible for all.
