The Project
The National Western Stock Show is a 100+ -year old institution in Denver that brings over 700,000 visitors to Denver annually, but was underutilized during the rest of the year, and located within the Globeville Elyria Swansea historic multicultural community that had been underinvested for decades. The Master Plan process engaged community and stakeholders to re-envision the Stock Show site into a dynamic year-round, environmentally sustainable tourist destination and agribusiness incubator with new educational and economic opportunities.
Our Role
While at the City of Denver, Gretchen served on the Sustainability Task Force and advocated for evidence-based health and equity strategies in the Plan to increase access to opportunity for vulnerable residents.
