The Project

The CO Department of Transportation (CDOT) conducted its 10-year vision plan for transportation in Colorado considering all modes of transportation. For the first time, the Plan included public health and equity consideration in transportation planning.

Our Role

While at the City of Denver, Gretchen participated on the Public Health Subcommittee for the Statewide Transportation Plan. She shared data and analysis on the disproportionate effects of highway construction and high-injury road networks on vulnerable communities and made Plan recommendations to mitigate transportation planning and construction impacts to advance environmental justice.
