The Project
In response to growing evidence that housing stability can improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs, the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) created a Housing, Health and Equity Partnership Plan for innovative partnerships between affordable housing developers and health care systems to expand housing development and attract and retain healthcare workers. The Plan provides prototypes for housing forms and funding structures and serves as a roadmap for improved health and equity outcomes for Coloradans.
Our Role
Equity Policy Solutions helped CHFA create innovative partnerships between affordable housing developers and health care systems to expand affordable housing development and preservation. We engaged health care systems, hospitals and developers to create a Plan with replicable models for the creation of housing in urban, suburban, mountain and rural settings that can improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
